The Early Career Scholars Committee (ECS) is looking for new members for our Community and Networking team for the upcoming academic year. We are especially interested in applications from people who represent diversity in the field and/or scholars currently working in research that is underrepresented at ��ñ����. If you wish to be considered by the committee, . We will begin reviewing applications on May 1, 2023, and will continue consideration throughout the summer.

PURPOSE:

The “Community and Networking” sub-committee focuses on fostering inclusivity of Early Career Scholars across ��ñ����. The committee is responsible for creating a welcoming community space for students and early career researchers to come together, socialize, network, exchange ideas and information, and built connectivity across all ��ñ���� disciplines.

FUNCTIONS:

• Organize online, virtual events to grow the ��ñ���� ECS community such as coffee hours and book clubs.
• Plan and host the Early Career Scholars reception and city outings at the annual meeting.
• Maintain and expand the existing ��ñ���� ECS social media channels on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

COMMITMENT:

This committee would entail one hour-long meeting and three hours of service per month.
